The Aurora Nuance bed collection is characterised by a monochrome colour scheme. The textile cover of the Boxspring bed contrasts gently with the respective foot colour. The colour thereby combines two materials that could not be more different in terms of properties. The high-quality textiles of the Boxspring beds are given depth of colour by the different coloured yarn used in the fabric. The sheet steel feet each take up one of the colours of the yarns, reflecting a facet of the colourfulness of the textiles in the foot of the bed.

The Aurora Nuance colour family comprises six different tonalities. Each one represents a world of its own. riposa does not show one bed in six colours, but six beds that differ from each other by their colourfulness. This means that the colour is not simply a surface – but an identity-forming feature. Each of the six colours has multi-layered meanings and different effects.

Horizon

The Horizon colour has a high yellow content. Yellow is the colour closest to light. “In its utmost purity it always implies the nature of brightness and has a cheerful, serene, gently stimulating character.” At least, this is how Johann Wolfgang Goethe described the colour yellow in the 18th century. Horizon makes a warm and comforting impression. This colour comes into its own whenever wood as the surrounding material is not directly adjacent to the bed. Many common wood species have a high yellow content of their own. This competes with the bed when the two are too close together, whereas panels or carpeting in anthracite, various shades of grey or beige create an ideal stage for the Aurora Nuance in Horizon.

Marine

Dark blue has great depth. Depth is comparable to an object that we want to pursue as it tries to escape from us. Dark blue is like the night, fascinating and mysterious at the same time. We like the fact that this colour seems to pull us along. Or to put it another way, rather than affecting us, blue is a colour that actually carries us away with it. It is the unfathomable aspect of this version of the Aurora Nuance that fascinates us. Moreover, this colour is virtually immune to short-term trends and whims. Dark blue is durable. And constantly recurring, like a shadow. Dark blue can be combined with many environments. Rooms decorated in wood also go well with the Marine Aurora Nuance.

Forest

As the name suggests, the fresh, blossoming spring forest is the inspiration for this bed. Green is a mixture of the colours blue and yellow. It brings together two different effects that are combined in a soft shade of green. Green is extremely satisfying to the eye. Neither yellow with its exciting freshness, nor blue with its mysterious depth are perceptible in this green any longer. And yet both colours are an integral part of it. Green is, in its best form, a simple colour that immediately gives you a sense of comfort. A green room makes you feel like you don’t want to go any further. A green room makes you want to stay. A green bed even more so.

Mirror

This colour is related to Marine. But it is just as bright as Horizon. The proportion of colour is lower, which gives it a tendency towards less depth and shadows. Nevertheless, there is a lot of blue and white in this shade. Thanks to the addition of white, the Aurora Nuance in Mirror can blend into almost any environment. By reducing the amount of colour, Mirror rarely competes with the surrounding colours. This makes it very easy to combine with existing rooms, their materials and colours. The Aurora Nuance in Mirror comes into its own particularly well in dark rooms.

Fruit

The Fruit version of the Aurora Nuance is a cheerful bed. Fruit makes a very fresh and almost sweet impression, and has something very energetic about it. But it is also a colour of warmth and delight. It corresponds much more to the sunset than to the sunrise. This means that Fruit is the colour of the late afternoon. Or the early evening, when everything pleasant, lively and joyful about the day is still there before the light turns bluish and moves towards night. The Fruit version of the Aurora Nuance is particularly attractive on a bright, light grey floor.

Shadow

This colour is most closely related to Marine. There are fewer colour tones, which also makes it harder to determine the character of the colour. Shadow is universal and does not focus on the effect of colourfulness. Shadow is much more like a raw material. It seems as if the textile is presented in its raw state. The foot colour would probably also be attributed to a raw material. This means that this bed looks very much at home in strong and colourful rooms. Shadow can absorb many different colours from the environment. It takes a back seat as a piece of furniture, yet still makes its presence felt.
