Monochrome style: the bed Ais and its colours

A flower in a room does something to the room. It is the same with colour. The colour collection for the bed Ais is not so much a measure to further enhance the bed as a way to influence the atmosphere of the room in the best possible way. A bed is usually placed in an existing room. This raises not only the question of which colour bed Ais suits your personal taste, but also the question of which colour has what effect on the room. It’s all about the interplay between the bed Ais and the walls, the floor, and all the surrounding materials and objects. The colourfulness of the bed Ais acts as a communicative element between the bed and the room.

Natural Ash

The “Natural Ash” version of the bed brings the wood and hence the tree species to the fore. It plays with the visual naturalness of wood as a material. The uniqueness, the structure and the grain of each individual tree also takes centre stage in this design. No two trees are the same. From this point of view, every bed is unique.

Night Blue

The Ais bed in «Night Blue» is dark but never gloomy. The depth of the blue color is reminiscent of the night and therefore of the function of the bed. It frames the place where we spend each night. With the regularly recurring hours of sleep, we make the transformation from the conscious to the unconscious and back again day after day. "Night Blue" stands for the depth and the unfathomable. In the room, the bed in blue looks proud, but also calm and inclusive.

Carmine Red

This is very different from the "Carmine Red" version. This color is also strong, but at first glance it is more active than the blue coloring. «Carmine Red» is very energetic. The bed in this color focuses on itself. It marks a center in the room. In addition, this color goes very well with floors in oak parquet.

Light Grey

“Light Grey” is the most restrained colour in the entire range. It takes a step back and forms a kind of gentle picture frame around the contents of the bed. The bed Ais becomes a calm, inclusive place in the midst of all the colourfulness. “Light Grey” can be combined with almost all room situations.

Silk White

«Silk White» wirkt ebenfalls ruhig. Dies ist die hellste Farbe im Sortiment. Das weisse Bett spielt mit Begriffen wie Reinheit, aber auch Eleganz und Zurückhaltung. Das Bett Ais in «Silk White» unterstreicht die Einfachheit und Klarheit der Form. Im Raum bekommt das weisse Bett etwas Erhabenes. Es wirkt stolz, aber dennoch zurückhaltend.

Jörg Boner

Jörg Boner has been designing products, spaces and furniture in his design studio in Zurich since 2001. Jörg Boner was a lecturer at ECAL Lausanne between 2003 and 2013 and has received numerous awards – including the Swiss Grand Prix Design (2011). His work combines beauty and elegance with functionality and innovative manufacturing. Jörg Boner designed the bed Ais and the monochrome colour scheme for riposa.
